Plantrician Education Series: Clinical Pearls of Integrating Plant-based Nutrition Into Practice
Millions of people around the world are discovering that a whole food, plant-based diet is the most effective intervention for the prevention, suspension and reversal of lifestyle or non-communicable diseases. Simultaneously, physicians and researchers are uncovering the multitude of pathways that are repaired, restored, and optimized by a plate full of plants. However, the current allopathic medical system was not designed to provide nutrition and lifestyle education or effectively deliver nutritional and lifestyle medicine as a primary intervention. This creates a notable “gap” between people in need and educated clinicians who are equipped with the tools and resources to deliver of lifesaving nutrition through their daily practices.
Commonly, inspired healthcare providers begin the process of transforming their practices and quickly encounter a variety of practical challenges and face strong medical culture headwinds that can leave them frustrated and fatigued. To help tackle these challenges, answer all your questions, and share proven solutions and successful working models, we invited a group of experienced physician experts to join our Plantrician Town Hall this quarter. Each of our guests successfully built and integrated plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine into their practices and through the process became a rich well-spring of clinical pearls and time-tested wisdom.
